Why Our Extracurricular Clubs Matter

At Cricklade Manor Prep, we believe that education extends far beyond the four walls of a classroom. While our academic program provides a strong foundation for learning, it’s our wide range of extracurricular clubs that truly shapes well-rounded, confident, and curious children. These clubs are where a child can discover a new passion, build a lasting friendship, and develop skills that will serve them for a lifetime.

Extracurricular activities are a powerful tool for personal growth. They give children the chance to explore interests they might not encounter in a typical lesson, from science and drama to chess and coding. This exploration fosters a love of learning and encourages a spirit of discovery that is essential for a child’s development. Our clubs also provide a low-pressure environment where pupils can learn to work as a team, share ideas, and support one another, building vital social skills and a sense of belonging.

Beyond fun and friendship, clubs teach important life skills. Whether it’s the discipline of learning a new instrument, the resilience of a challenging sports match, or the creativity of an art project, each activity contributes to a child’s character. These are the moments where they learn the value of hard work, perseverance, and passion.

Our “wide range of clubs” is a key part of our commitment to a holistic education. We are dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where children are challenged and supported to grow, both inside and outside the classroom.
