Open Days
Cricklade Manor Prep is a vibrant, ambitious, and nurturing school. Our educational journey begins in our Nursery, which warmly welcomes children from three months to five years, and continues through our Prep School for pupils aged five to eleven. Based around our beautiful historic manor house, our site blends tradition with exceptional modern facilities.
We invite families to discover how we nurture curiosity and inspire a lifelong love of learning by attending our Autumn Open Morning on Friday 9 October, starting from 9:00 AM at our campus on Calcutt Street.
An Open Morning is the best way to experience the warm, vibrant atmosphere of our school in action. During your visit, you will be taken on a personal tour by either one of our confident Year 6 pupils or a member of our Senior Leadership Team. This offers an authentic look at daily life across our countryside grounds, specialist classrooms, and outdoor learning spaces, allowing you to see our small class sizes and tailored teaching approach in action across both Nursery and Prep.
From our expansive sports fields and forest school to our dedicated science labs and creative arts spaces, we provide a stimulating environment where children are encouraged to challenge themselves, discover new passions, and develop the confidence to succeed. As a result, our pupils leave us well-prepared for the future, equipped with an appetite to learn, an enthusiasm for future challenges, and the confidence to take the lead.

Throughout the morning, you will have ample opportunity to meet key staff, discuss how we support each child’s individual educational journey, and enjoy informal conversations over morning refreshments while getting answers to any questions about our admissions process. Spaces for our Open Morning are limited to ensure every visiting family receives a personalised experience, so we encourage early booking to secure your place.
Can’t make our Open Day? Not to worry!
If you are unable to attend our Open Morning or would prefer an individual visit, our Admissions Team would be delighted to arrange a private tour. Exploring our school during a typical school day allows you to see our inspiring, broad curriculum, meet our specialist subject teachers, and explore our eight-acre site located conveniently between Swindon and Cirencester. You will also learn about our excellent outcomes for pupils, our exciting extra-curricular club offering, our year-round Nursery set in a delightful walled garden, flexible wrap-around care, and our dedicated school bus service.

We were pleased with the result of our latest inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (the independent schools equivalent to Ofsted). The inspectors praised many aspects of our school, but best of all, they awarded us a ‘Significant Strength’ for our Cricklade Pupil Development programme. You can read the full report here.
