CELEBRATING YEAR 6: SCHOLARSHIPS, GRAMMAR SCHOOLS AND BEYOND

September is a month of fresh starts and new chapters in education. While some children are taking their very first steps into school life, our Year 6 pupils are preparing to embark on their exciting secondary school journeys. This year, we are thrilled to celebrate the brilliant achievements of our leavers and the bright futures that await them.

This year’s results speak for themselves:

  • 11 out of 11 pupils who sat the 11+ Grammar School entrance test achieved a pass.
  • 8 pupils have accepted places at Grammar Schools.
  • 3 scholarships were awarded, with 2 scholarships accepted.

These fantastic results are a testament not only to the hard work and dedication of our pupils but also to the tailored support and encouragement provided by our staff. From exam preparation to school selection advice, Cricklade Manor Prep have supported our pupils every step of the way.

Our Year 6 cohort will be moving on to a wide range of schools, including:

  • Malmesbury School
  • Westonbirt School
  • Pate’s Grammar School
  • Stroud High School
  • Dean Close School
  • St Helen & St Katharine School
  • Kingshill School
  • St Edward’s School
  • Faringdon Community College
  • Warneford School
  • Sir Thomas Rich’s School

The variety of destinations reflects the diverse talents, ambitions, and strengths within this year group. Whether continuing in the state or independent sector, each pupil carries forward the skills, confidence, and values they have nurtured during their time with us.

To our leavers – you will always be part of the CMP family. As you head off to new classrooms, new friends, and new adventures, remember the ethos that has guided you here — Challenge, Motivate, Prepare. Let it inspire you not just in school, but in all your future endeavours.

Good luck, Year 6 — the future is yours!
