Year 5 Sample Greek Cuisine

To complete the History topic of the term, Year 5 pupils were treated to an interesting and delicious presentation about Ancient Greek cuisine. 

Sarah, one of the school chefs, described the range of food that was on display and explained cooking, storing and preserving methods, which would have been undertaken in Ancient Greece. She also talked about how Greek people at the time used their warm climate and location to grow specific crops and catch fish. 

Mrs Fairbanks said: “The children asked sensible questions to further their learning and enjoyed sampling much of the mouth-watering array of food.”
