Ghost Stories and History at Warwick Castle

Year 2 had a fantastic trip to Warwick Castle. The day started off with a personal tour of the state rooms by the incredibly knowledgeable Mrs Heywood.

The suits of armour and the weaponry were artefacts of great interest to all. The children especially enjoyed seeing the ‘Henry VIII and his 6 Wives’ exhibit following their topic on Tudors, being able to recall many interesting facts about his reign and his life.

They then had the chance to watch the falconry display. They were amazed by the range of the birds of prey and their agility and skill. After lunch, the ramparts were conquered and the children relished the ghost story while alongside The Ghost Tower. A fantastic day was had by all, made all the more special by the unseasonal snow flurry.
