Happy, high-achieving Nursery and Prep School
From the youngest children in our busy Nursery, to our confident, pro-active Year 6 leavers, and at every point in between, they are challenged by outstanding staff and exciting opportunities, motivated in a supportive and friendly environment.
Therefore, children who attend our school are prepared for the future with an appetite to learn, an enthusiasm for future challenges and the confidence to take the lead.
You may be asking yourself, ‘Which are the best independent schools near me?, or ‘Are there any private primary schools near me?’. If that’s the case, then you will find the answers to those questions (and many more) here.
Welcome to Cricklade Manor Nursery & Prep
Why choose an independent school?
With a broad and exciting curriculum, strength in the core subjects, countless extra-curricular opportunities, and excellent facilities, we are a supportive and welcoming community of children, staff and parents.
Individual attention in small classes
Our class sizes are small, and we have no combined age groups, which allows teachers to give every child the support he or she needs, with no danger of anyone slipping under the radar in a busy classroom. This focus on each and every child extends into the Individual Learning Sessions which are built into the school week.
Outstanding teachers
An outstanding team of teaching staff is Cricklade Prep’s greatest asset, chosen and developed to provide the best possible learning opportunities for our children. Each member of staff is highly experienced, and many have subject specialisms, so that even our youngest pupils learn from experts in their field.
Exceptional facilities
The facilities at Cricklade Manor Nursery & Prep are exceptional for a school of its size. We have fully equipped science laboratories, a large sports hall and a swimming pool on site, as well as 8 acres of outdoor space, encompassing sports fields, play areas and an exciting forest school.
Opportunities
Providing opportunities, within and beyond the curriculum, allows every child to discover whatever it is that will motivate and inspire them, and fires the desire to learn more. So beyond the core curriculum, we seek ways to expand experience and learning: from school trips and entrepreneurship and environmental programmes, to participating in Young Voices at the O2, to the yearly Science Spectacular, school productions and positions of responsibility, and dynamic after-school clubs.
Outstanding outcomes
We are incredibly proud of all our children achieve, academically, on the sports field and in the visual and performing arts, all of which has been recognised by future schools. Cheerful, resilient, creative and innovative, at Cricklade Manor they have also learned a set of skills that will support and nourish them as they move on to the next stage in their education.
Supporting the whole family
We understand the pressures of family life, particularly for people juggling work and parenthood. Families can take advantage of wrap-around care, from 7.30am-6pm, with up to three delicious, freshly cooked meals a day, and a choice of over 25 exciting after-school clubs for the children to enjoy. There are also holiday clubs
Our school bus serves large parts of the surrounding area, and can also pick up from and deliver back to key local employers, including Nationwide.
More affordable than you may think
As a member of the Wishford Group of school, Cricklade Manor Prep operates on the principle that exceptional education, with a broad range of opportunities and excellent outcomes, should not cost the earth.
We also run a scholarship programme for entry into Year 3 for particularly gifted children.
To discover more, we would love to meet you and discuss any questions you may have on a personal tour of the school.
