Life Skills

Our pupils in Years 6, 7 and 8 benefit from a range of timetabled lessons that we collectively call Life Skills.

This is a term that encompasses so many topics. Many life skills are often not taught directly but are learned indirectly through observing others, experience and practice. As part of our day-in and day-out interactions with our pupils, we help them develop their life skills. Alongside this there are some that we feel the pupils will benefit from focused discussion on and they form the basis of the Life Skills curriculum. These include:

  • Study Skills
  • Presentation Skills
  • Interview Skills
  • Debating
  • Strategic Thinking
  • Leadership Skills
  • Business Enterprise
  • Music, Art and History Appreciation
  • Mindfulness and Wellbeing

We believe these are all great skills, and will help our pupils accomplish their ambitions and live to their full potential.
